Default Seizures
Old 03-14-2007, 11:05 PM   #1 (permalink)

Hi, my husband (bryan) and I are new to the site. We have two bostons, Chloe Belle a 3 yr old female full of ENERGY and Duke an 8 yr old male full of kisses and snuggles.
Duke has had 3 seizures (mild) that we are aware of since we adopted him Oct. of '05. We later found out that the previous owners were aware of the seizure activity (they just didn't tell us).
I was curious if anyone else had experienced this and if there was any advice.
His seizures have only lasted 3-4 min tops. He does not lose consciousness or bladder/bowel control. We were told not to medicate at this time, since they are so spaced out. Medicating is apparently a lifelong committment once you start giving them the medicine. So, once you start, you cannot take your pup off the meds.
Thanks for any advice or thoughts!
