I am new here and hope someone can help me! I have a 2 year female Boston Terrier named Sophie. She has what I would describe as an 'insecure' personality. She shares our home with our 11 year old female Boston Terrier, Phoebe. Sophie barks whenever she even THINKS she hears a noise outside and it is very hard to make her stop. But, I do feel she is making progress with that. Here's the stumper.......she walks on a leash well in our yard, but doesn't want to leave the yard to walk with us. She acts like she is terrified and continually pulls back toward the house. I have been trying every day for 2 months with no success. I know this is my fault, because I've let her get away with this behavior forever. I am an avid 'Dog Whisperer' fan, and Cesar's books and TV shows haven't helped either, haha
Sophie is a sweet girl and it is breaking my heart that she is missing out on the fun of taking a nice walk around the neighborhood. She stays in a paniced state until we turn into our driveway. Anyone with this problem or any ideas? Thanks so much!
