Default humping problem
Old 10-24-2008, 09:46 PM   #1 (permalink)

my little stinker only humps my husband when he lays on the couch. We of course have him scheduled for castration...Biscuit not my husband! We stop him and he keeps trying and trying. We lay him on his back to make him be submissive and he will relax for a few minutes and then back to the humping. We put him outside , put him in the kennel , spank him every thing. I am wondering if he will stop once he is castrated. Maybe he is trying to establish dominance over my husband? We have done all the tricks to make biscuit think his daddy is the Big Dog? Not sure? Any suggestions????????????

Humping is a dominance thing. Start NILF (nothing in life is free), I've been doing it with Rosco for a few months now and it really helps. You should notice that if you keep it up your dog will listen better, it takes a while but its really worth it. Heres one link, but if you search you'll find a ton more about it.

We didn't have a humping problem, but we did have some issues with house-breaking her and when we mentioned it to the vet she suggested to establish ourselves as the boss to hand feed her her kibbles for a bit - not the whole meal but some of it. She sat patiently as I fed her kibble by kibble and it really helped! We only did it for a few days, too. We are definitely all about the nothing in life is free philosophy!
