Default Want an idea of how big my pup will get....

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a 19 week old Boston female (Lu-Lu) who weighs 10lbs now. I'm curious to find out how much your pups weighed when they were Lu-Lu's age and how much they weight currently. Lu-Lu's mom weighed about 20lbs and her dad weighed about 15. Thanks so much!

I think Uma was about the same weight at 19 weeks and she's 20 lbs now. She's a very solid girl.

Truman was probably 12-13 lbs then, and at 8 months is about 20-21lbs. His patents are 18 and 22 lbs.

I would like to add that when I brought Maggie to the Vet last week, Vet said that usually at three months if you double the wieght that is how big the dog is going to get.
general rule of thumb he told me.

Maggie was 7 pounds at that time and he said she will be about 14 pounds.

Moose was 18 lbs at 6 months when I took him in to get Rabies shot. And now he is a solid 21 lbs. He is only growing in muscle mass here on out.

"Lay down, pup; lay down," ordered the man. "Good doggie-lay down, I say."
"You'll have to say, 'Lie Down,' mister," declared a bystander. "That's a Boston Terrier."

Wow! If this is true, then Sheva will only weight 9lbs.

Our vet told us that too, and she was wrong. lol! At 3 months Uma was only 7 lbs. But the breeder told me that she suspected Uma was going to be a big girl, and she's right.

yeah... that rule doesn't apply to Molly at all... she was 4 pounds at 3 months and when we took her in for her rabies shot last week (4 months to the day) she was 8.5 pounds. So she doubled her 3 month weight in a month.

When Lu-Lu came home she was about 4 pounds (at 8 weeks), last month we went to the vet and she was over 8 pounds (at 15 weeks) and on Monday when we got her Rabies shot, she was 10 pounds. She hasn't really had a major growth "spurt." Maybe that's yet to come?

    Big Grin

Minnie is 8.9 lbs. at 5 1/2 months. Rabies shot today, no reaction, whew! Vet said she will be a small one! The Vet has 3 BT's herself.

One of her clients has a full grown BT that is 4 lbs. She said that there were some growth issues with it though.
