Default Age and size question.....

So at what age did your Boston stop growing weight wise? When we purchased MoJo they had an estimate of 15-20 lbs for her(from the breeder). Well like I said in my other thread, MoJo now weighs 8.9 and is just now 12 weeks old. I am getting a little nervous at the rate she is growing that she will be over our 20lb weight limit where we live at.

So anyways, my friend told me that if you double their three month weight, that is a pretty good estimate of what the pup will weigh in the long run. Has anyone heard of this? Does it ring true when you look back at your Boston at three months of age compared to now?

Hi there -

I got Sam at 8 weeks old and he was 8 lbs. He gained 3 - 5 lbs. every three weeks (at all his puppy vet visits) until he was 5 months old weighing in at 19 lbs. He hasn't been weighed since then, but I'm fairly certain he is maintaining his weight at right about 19 or 20 lbs. My vet said at about 6 months is when the weight gain will peak out. We shall see...

I have to say...it is nice to have someone eldr in the house that can put on weight as fast as me!!
