They can range from $100-$2000. It depends on if you're looking for a show puppy, and a female or male.

WOW what are Bostons CHEAP by you. I come from the Netherlands. Now i breed with Boxers and waited for a long time for a good Boston Terrier.
Normal price of Bostons in The Netherlands and Germany is about 1300-1600 EURO !!! i think that's about 2000 US Dollar.
I wanted a good female for breeding and showing and pay 1600 euro !!

I've been away from the forums for quite a while, but came back and saw this thread is still going.

We've had Buttons for almost a year now and we've learned some things about her....why she appeared to be housebroken...why she was cheap.

Buttons was a puppy mill mother. The vet has said that her puppy making parts have put out quite a few litters..and this was at 3yrs old (at the time). The rescue group that we got her from thought she came from a puppy mill, but wasn't sure.

We've recently found out that she has bowel movement problems...why? Because the puppymill breeder allowed her to have multiple litters to the point where her pelvis fractured. The emergency vet said that some at the puppymills will give injections to the mothers so the litters are larger. Since she was in a small cage, her pelvis then fused directly to her spine at an odd angle. The angle makes it harder for her to have normal bowel movements. She's now about 4, but has arthritis in the back legs like an 8-10 year old. She doesn't run like a normal Boston.

We can't fix her pelvis, but she'll go on cosequin for her joints and she'll be getting a lot of pumpkin to help her going to the bathroom.

Buying from a pet store just perpetuates insane crap like what my dog went through. Rescue or get one from a breeder.

I have just been researching and the prices for a pet quality B.T. here range from about 2500 dollars for a pet quality male. These are healthy dogs but the breeders don't want to use them for breeding or showing.For some reason there are very few female for sale in my area. After buying a poodle from a backyard breeder we would never do so again. Yes, she was inexpensive and was a lovely dog but she was not a dog without problems and dies quite young. You pay for what you get most of the time.

Where I live, I would say the average price is about $1200. But I have seen Pups anywhere from $900-$1800

Paid $400 here in S.C. They range anywhere from $300 to $500 depending on where you buy them here (pet quality and registered). I would imagine you could pay a lot more at a Breeder's for a show quailty pup.

In the Seattle Area, Bostons are pretty expensive (well, purebred.) Samson was $900 and Sadie was $1000, both considered "pet-quality," not for show. Sadie has one slight wall-eye and an under bite (which I absolutely love), and the breeder said something about Samson's stance was not good enough for show.

From what I've seen, the south is the most affordable place to get purebreds, and nationwide there is a large price spectrum.

I got Rosco from a lady that had to move and couldnt take him with her, I paid $50 for him. He was also 4 years old, but puppies can run up to $700 down here, mostly the non-standard colors run A LOT more than a black BT. People down here just dont know anything about the breed, and just breed for money.

I purchased my bt from a reputable breeder in Indiana. Paid $800 for pet quality limited AKC registration. The breeder actively showed her bt's but I was comfortable with a "pet quality" puppy. I believe that I'm still benefiting from a fabulous health history. I have no intentions of going into the show ring or seeking to profit off of breeding so there was no hesitation for me to sign a purchase agreement and to have my puppy neutered. A reputable breeder strives to maintain all of the standards a particular breed. It is vital that you as a new owner to keep your breeder informed of any health issues that may arise so they have a handle on any genetic defect. The parents were on the property along with all of her other bt's and all were obviously loved by the entire family. I waited a year for a pet quality puppy but it was well worth it. I established a relationship with my breeder-they met me, asked questions and contacted my vet. The breeder wanted to insure I would love and care for my puppy just as they would. You got to appreciate that! Lastly, you get what you pay for.......
