Hi all
Forgive me for not introducing myself yet --- I'll do that I swear I am just in a bit of a rush.
I bought a puppy today, I had no intentions of doing this at all but I felt soo bad for these puppies.
Anyway, I have never owned a Boston or know anyone who does.
All I can say is that Ooshe(pup) looks very small for the age that they tell me she is.
They say she is 6 weeks but she is soo small, not a tooth in sight.
My very urgent questions are:
What do I feed her? Does she need puppy formula? I have a Westie who is 7 months and she eats Purina One Lamb and Rice. Also...Lilly (my westie) really likes Ooshe but I keep seeing her try to "paw" at her??? Like digging ...I can't explain it. Do I need to separate them? Ooshe likes Lilly I think because she is warm.
I am so clueless and I know I am prbly in over my head. But we saw a sign, stopped saw the puppies and because I could not justify buying all 3 I left with Ooshe.
Please help so I can get her what she needs tonight.
Thanks
Stasha

She sounds awfully young!!!! With no teeth, I would go to the pet store and pick up the puppy formula to feed her. She'll need to be fed every couple hours (yes even through the night!). My suggestion is to take her to your vet's tomorrow ASAP and have him/her check your pup over...Wow what in the world was the person selling the puppies thinking?? Even at 6 weeks she was 2 to 3 weeks from when she should have left the litter!!

Keep her warm with a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel and if you have a heat lamp throw that on too!! I'd watch the pup and the Westie together just as you would any puppy...

Good luck and keep us informed on how she is doing!

Exactly!
That is why I felt the need to rescue her
They all looked so cold, Gawsh!
Anyhow, I just got back from the Vet Supply. I live in a small town so there is not a PetSmart etc but there is a Vet Supply.
I got her some of the puppy milk, a bottle. I do have the water bottle and I will be keeping a close eye on her. She is just a baby, really.
I will be uploading some pics to this thread in a minute ... Thanks for the help!

poor poor poor puppy. how can anyone let a pup at probably 3 weeks old leave their mother. i understand the feeling you might have when seeing these pups but this is exactly why this soort of breeders exist! your pup will mis his upbringing from his mother and his brothers and sisters. i hope that you can keep him alive as they are very vounerable at such a young age. here in holland there are people that sell pups out of the boot of their car. they come from countries as poland and hongaria and cost less than from a reputable breeder. they have many behavioral and health problems. but they look so sad..... people rescue the pup but don't realise that the seller will breed more of those pups because people buy them........
i hope all goes well with your puppy..............

I took my little Ooshe to a breeder here in town this morning and she said that Ooshe looks good, healthy maybe 5 weeks or just the runt but she actually does have teeth...Phew!
I then had an appt at our Vet and she said she looks good and healthy. Not ready for her first shots though
Shes good though and she is eating and drinking, pooping and peeing.
Thanks for the responses.
