Default How does your Boston talk to you?

I was wondering if my Bonnie has unique way of communication. She makes this noise which is a cross between a "purr" and a whine. It is not loud and she does this when she wants something, like outside, or some food, or when she wants to get on my wifes lap to sleep.

How does your Boston talk?

I will keep a closer watch on the ears. They're upright most of the time. When being corrected she flattens them down. The "purr-whine-moan" sound is done with her getting right in your face. It took us awhile to understand that she was telling us stuff! I guess I'll learn one of these days

Bostons are capable of making unbelievably wierd noises. Our BTs do what I call the "brat snort" when they sigh and snort at the same time and look at us quite annoyed, telling us they aren't getting what they want.

Sadie makes noises that we call "alien noises" because there is no way to describe them aside from the noises that the alien makes when it bursts through the lady's stomach in the movie.

I know other Bostons that make wierder noises, too, and it's absolutely hysterical. Sometimes you just look at them and say, "WHAT was that?!?!?"

Rosco does what I call the old man groan...its like a low whine and a growl. Reminds me of an old man getting out of a chair...he does it when he wants to cuddle.

Bailey has her own way of letting me know what she wants either thru her ears or squinting her eyes. usually when she jumps up on the sofa and sits there and stares at me and she gives me the stink eye she wants a treat. She does this one a little too much though.

Daisy does the ear thing also and is very vocal when she wants/needs attention. Some of the sounds she makes is unreal. One of her whines sounds just like a human whistle - the loud one done with fingers to your lips. The cutest communication she does is with her eyes. She squints and blinks them rapidly as you might imagine a siren doing (female, good looking professional).
