You are going to pay at least $1,000. Just make sure that you find a breeder that you can verify that they have done health testing. I know it sounds really expensive, but if you buy a bargain BT (From a BYB, or Petstore, or Puppymill) you will easily spend a lot more with health problems. It is worth the wait to find a great breeder. We drove a thousand miles to get ours, but almost got in the trap of buying a puppy from someone that was clearly breeding for profit and had no concerns about health, etc. This website is very helpful, please read all the articles before you decide on a breeder. I wish it was an easy process to find a great one, but they can be like finding a needle in a haystack.
I wanted to post a link to information that would prove valuable if you are looking to add a puppy/rescue BT or any other breed to your household. All too often, I see people make impulse buys at Petstores (which all have puppymill dogs), or get a dog through a classifieds ad. I think it is important to consider rescue first, and if you are set on getting a puppy (which sometimes resuces have), make sure you find a reputable breeder. A reputable breeder is furthering the breed, breeds to the standard, and often shows their dogs so that they get points showing that there dog is a great representation of the breed, but more importantly, they get all the required health testing done on their dogs - OFA, CERF, and BAER. It can be so difficult to find a reputable breeder, but a good puppy is worth the wait! There is no such thing as a "rare" BT and if someone is trying to sell you one, please run away! This site has some great information:
