Why does my 17wk old BT pup look like a mini pitbull?? Its hard for me to imagine what my BT will look like full grown... he is about 12lbs @ 17wks..... much larger that his so called sister.

Are you sure that he is purebred? We just got BT crosses. One takes after mom and one takes after dad. They look nothing alike but they arre brothers for sure. Your lil guy might have a bit of pit in him?

well..... I actually have 2 BT. I have the papers on both Riley and Molly and the breeder says they are. Both came with full AKC registration.... watever that means.

I'd love to see pics also. Before Opie, I had a pit bull and there are some similarities in their body shapes: large chest and narrow hips. Both breeds have large heads, but BT is more round.

Maybe a bit yes. Darn is he ever cute tho.

Gizmo, my little boston, is abnormally large for his size as well. his mother and all his siblings turned out to be around 15 to 16 lbs, whereas Gizmo grew to be a whopping 25 lbs!! (and he was the runt of the litter!) Hes definitely NOT fat in anyway, and the vet says hes very healthy. Were thinking its his activity level that made him larger. maybe your lil guy is just a larger boston like Gizmo. as for the look, ive seen many different looking bostons. i wouldt doubt hes a full boston. (hes very cute by the way!)

What color is he? He looks reddish brown to me, and his nose looks more of a brownish color than black as well as the pinkish spot. If he's full blooded but just a non standard color like brown or red, some of them just look different than other Bostons.
