Default Feeding Innova EVO
Old 11-05-2008, 02:47 PM   #1 (permalink)

I have seen several posts on different forums expressing BT owners' caution and concern about feeding Natura's EVO dry foods. Well, curiosity killed the cat so I wrote Natura to inquire about the safety of feeding EVO to Bostons, especially puppies. I am pasting their reply below.

"Thank you for contacting us about our products. You can definitely feed your Boston Terrier the EVO formulas. Either flavor is ok. We do not recommend feeding a large breed puppy EVO. Large Breed Puppies need restricted amounts of calcium and phosphorus. The high protein amounts are completely safe to feed your growing puppy, adult and senior as long as there are no present health issues. I have attached a couple of articles on high protein diets. Please feel free to contact us if you need further information."

I did not post the articles mentioned due to their length but if anyone is interested in a long message, feel free to PM me. I am presently feeding my 6 month BT the EVO Small Bites and she dives into it. She shows much more enthusiasm for the EVO than she did for California Natural or Innova. Just thought some of you might be interested; just note the two exceptions in bold concerning puppy size and also health for any size.
