Well Joie was on the Nutro, but she and my Boxer started itching, don't know if they changed things up, but I changed her to Royal Canin mini bits, and man her coat is just glistening and she's doing great on it ~ I think I changed about 2 months ago!

I have my 6 month boston on a raw diet. She's been on it since 3 months and her coat and energy at the park is great. She eats 3 times a day, Bison, Duck, or Beef. She also chews on RAW bison bones (never feed cooked). The bones generally get rid of her bad breath, keeps her busy and content for 2 hours and works her neck muscles.

Just like kissmekate I have heard not so good things about science diet throughout my readings. I don't have my boston yet but I plan on feeding him Nutro Natural Choice dog food, they have all sorts of stuff and it all seems really good. Here's thier web cite... http://www.nutroproducts.com Good luck!

The vet recommened science diet for puppies. We are having good luck with it so far. The first week we got Shae we got a can of wet puppy chow and she had messy poopie and stinky gas explosions Now with science diet her poopie is firm and formed and she hardly ever has gas explosions anymore.

I just switched my girls to Orijen Senior. It's a grain-free food. Tippy just had a mammory tumor removed and I have read that grain feeds cancer cells. I want my girls around for awhile....a long while!!

I recently switched my Boston over to Wellness..she seems to like it, although her poops are not consistently hard. Has been having soft poops lately . I'm not sure if its the food or if she is still getting used to it. My Vet told me to wait 2 weeks for her to be on Wellness, and if it doesnt harden up I need to try a different food again! When she turns a year I am seriously considering makeing her food myself, my vet has many holistic recipes I can try. She also advised to Check the ingredients to what you are feeding your Pups. stay away from those that contain meat by-products, wheat, and soy.

Ps. http://www.truthaboutpetfood.com/ I found this site interesting.

i was feeding Mack and Diezel Natural Balance Venison and Brown Rice, because it was one of two foods i could find that Diezel could eat because he is allergic to EVERYTHING!! I had a blood test done on him and Natural Balance Venison and Brown Rice and Eukanuba KO were the only two foods i could get for him. Then the Natural Balance food i was feeding them, was on the recall list, then they changed the recipe, now they have ingredients in it that he cant have. So now we solely go with the Eukanuba KO but now is renamed Iams KO or soemthing or other. I dont know how i picked the one dog with all the allergies, but i did it. he is a great dog, always breaking out in a rash becasue he loves to eat grass, but is allergic to it too. anyway, i would recommend any of the Natural Balance foods made by Dick Van Patten or even this Iams KO food. THe Iams food is a Kangaroo meat recipe.

I feed my boston terrier Nutro kibbles small bites and add a little canned wet food in the morning ( I buy a few cans of different flavors). I like Nutro as a brand because they use real ingredients and not those crappy by-products. At night I feed her browned ground beef and half a cup of the kibbles and just a squirt of seed oil ( I am going to switch to flax seed oil). I just buy a few pounds of burger meat and make a few little balls and freeze them. I can make up to 20 balls (so that lasts for almost a month, it is a lot cheaper and healthier.

Turbeaux and Libby both get Canidae Life stages and they are doing great. I switched Turbeaux to Canidae from Nutro and Iams before that and his coat has never looked so good. He had a weight problem and used to be really flaky (and New Orleans is not a dry climate by any means). He has slimmed down and is well muscled now and energetic, too. He is 7 and plays with Libby non stop
Libby has been on puppy portions of Canidae since I switched her from the food the breeder used and she is very healthy and gaining well.
They both love it and get kibbles as treats too!

Lexi, our 4 month old BT, was being fed Eagle Pack from the breeder which isn't too bad I hear. Although, after doing alot of research, we decided to switch her over to the Innova Evo dog food and she has an enormous amount of energy now with almost no flaky skin problems.
