You just never know how big your pup will get. Hopefully, you were able to see the parents and get their weights and can speak to your breeder to get more insight...technically, according to standard, a BT should never be over 25 lbs. But, given that so many of us have BT's from various sources - reputable, rescues and not so reputable, there are going to be discrepancies, and lets face it genetics is a lottery - you don't know what you are going to get. We thought with Rupert's parents that he would be around 20 lbs. However, he is now 10 months old and is only 14 lbs. He was actually one of the bigger puppies in the litter, so go figure. The "runt" of the litter is just about 19 lbs. Usually the weight doubles from what it was at 4 months and although not a 100% certainty, if a dog is 14 lbs. at 4 months, they will be 28 lbs. or very close to that when fully grown.
Samson is 3.5 years and he is about 19 lb. He's gotten as big as 22ish when we tried a special bulldog food and he BEEFED UP big time, but we put an end to that quick. He's perfect as he is now, under 20.
Sadie is apparently a runt. Perfectly healthy at almost 3 years, and she's only 11 lbs! We couldn't figure it out when she just stopped growing at 9 months... she's the smallest thing we'd ever seen, and everyone still thinks she's a little puppy when they meet her. It's crazy, but she's just small. So hyper, so cute, but oh-so-little. She's got a huge attitude, though!!

Bailey was 7 weeks old and weighed 4 lbs. when we got her. A week and a half later we took he to the vets and she weighed in at 5.2 lbs.. We just weighed her around two weeks ago at the vet she weighed in at 9.4 lbs. at 3 months and 3 weeks of age.
