Default Please help: Esophageal Obstruction
Old 06-22-2007, 03:02 PM   #1 (permalink)

My mom just got a 8weeks old. She has been wanting a Boston for a long time and finally got one. She took it to the vet for regular shots and 1st check-up. The vet told her the pup has a enlarged heart which was causing the pup to throw up food. This is what the vet put on the papers:
Esophageal Obstruction
Vascular ring anomalies
Epiology
Right aortic arch
Aspiration pneumonia
Enlarged heart

Her vet told her she could take it to Columbus, Ohio to a specialist and have it fixed.
She is in love with this dog. She has only had it a week. The breeder told her he would give her money back or she can get another pup or whatever she wants. She wants to keeps this dog. But what is the risk rate on having this surgery? She doesn't mind having the operation done but wants to know if it's worth it.
PLEASE HELP
