it's been 4 days sinds the operation and fausje is doing great. he is already tipping on his toe. he's pretty quiet in hise crate and the swelling in his leg is minimal. now 5 and a half weeks to go! if he keeps this up then it'll be a peace of cake!

here an update on fausto. he's really doing great. whe're half way now and he is walking on all fours! he walks without a limp and he has never walked this great! before the operation he would walk with spread legs. this doesn't occur any more! he's not allowd to jump but sometimes he puts his ears back and tilts his head and jumps ! but he's keeping pretty quiet. just 3 weeks to go and normal life can begin again.......

faus goes nuts and runs through the whole house, happilly running through the yard..... barking and jumping.............he's been an angel in the sence of being calm those 6 weeks but now.......

We just found out that our baby needs to undergo the same surgery shortly. She is only 8.5 months old. Do you have any good suggestions before the surgery or things to help us with her healing after the surgery is over? Any more information would be appreciated. Thank you.

oh i'm sorry for your puppy! before the operation i just let him do what he wanted as there couldn't be more damage done.
the day of the operation i set up his crate and made sure there where plenty of blankets in it so that he'd be really comfortable.
the first day i carried him to go potty and left him in his crate. six weeks he stayed in his crate. every time he came out i put a leash on him. if i didn't do that he would run and jump on the couch. after 6 weeks he had a visit to the vets and he said that everything was oke. then i built up the walking on the leash ands after 12 weeks i let him walk off the leash. it's an awfull period but it's much better after the 12 weeks have passed. has your pup got it on one legg or both? faus was14 months and had it on one leg. if you have any questions let me know and mayby i can answer them. i had no one that could answer my questions so i know how helpfull that can be!
keep up your good spirits and it'll be over before you know it!
