My 9 yr old had a lump on her hind leg - took her to the vet he withdrew fluid, looked under a microscope and came back and said it was mast cancer and needed to be moved. I cried for two days. Apparently it is very common in boston's at that age. She had it removed two days later, had to wait a week for results - it was Class 2 and apparently they got it all. It can come back, so I'll keep a watch and take her to the vet in two months - just wanted to let you know if you see a lump on your dog - take him/her in to the vet.

We found a lump in Bandit late one night, And the next morning he we took him to the vet. We were so scared. We lost our kitty to cancer. So our fears were deepened when we found the lump.


The Doc said it was more then likely it was from his boosters the week earlier.
Sure enough the lump shrank and was gone within a few days. Were we relieved.

but all lumps should be checked. I don't believe those who tell you to wait a few weeks and then take your best friend to the doc. We want to know right now the "if's"
