Default Gotta wipe my BT's butt

We have two Boston's, Max the older one, has no problem pooping. Chuey, however gets "stickies" and needs to get it wiped. We started noticing a "funk" coming from him, and sure enough, it was like poop, matted to his stub of a tail. I'm sure he did it, trying to scoot it off. Now everytime he poops, me or my wife has to wipe his butt. Both dogs came from the same breeder, both are large and healthy. We feed them Nutro since they've been with us. Could it just be a food "thing", what would you suggest? BTW, my wife "sheds" and Chuey sometimes will find a long strand and eat it. Sometimes this is what holds his poo to his butt, but we've also noticed that Chuey also has softer poo than Max does. I feel so bad for him, he looks so embarassed everytime we have to wipe him

fausto has the same thing. this is a problem with him because he has no tail. a dog with a tail pinches it to let the last piece fall of. because he has no tail he can't squiese so it stays on!

My previous Boston had the same problem his entire life. We would just tell him "Butt check" and he would go into the bathroom and stand by the toilet and wait for us. It was a very small price to pay for such a beloved dog. Miss him dearly. The two I currently have do not have the same problem, but they have longer tails than Toby did, his was just a crooked nubbins.

Oh boy....my two are that way sometimes. Buster more than Buddy, but then Buster has the nub tail...? wonder if that is why. They just know they have to be checked before they come in.
