Hi Everyone-
I am hoping to get a little advice and guidance as I am a new Boston owner and my little rescue is a senior. My Boston Charm is 11 and when I got her I was told she has a heart murmur and is on pills. The rescue program that I got her from is wonderful, they were honest with me about the condition. So, I took Charm to my vet and they suggested a heart sonogram, which I did (these procedures are very expensive - holey moley!!), so I got the results today and they told me she has "Compensation chronic valvular disease". Should I be freaking out?? Is she going to drop dead tomorrow? She has so much bounce in her step and you would never know how old she is! The vet told me I have to do a sonogram every 6 months. Now that seems very excessive to me (and pricey). Can anyone shed some light?
Thanks so much!!!
Best,
Nicole
