Default Allergies:

I have a 4yo boston who has horrible allergies. The vet but him on a steroid
last yr he has been weaned down to a quarter of a pill a day. This does not
make the itching stop but controls it. At one point he had raw sores. We
have tried shampoos, additives and nothing seemed to work. As far as food
anything with rice seems to make it worse. Now he is on his second month of call of the wild grain free. Dosn't seem to make much difference. does
anyone have any ideas?

I dont have any ideas, but you could have him wear a shirt so he cant scratch himself raw. Have you tested him to see what he is allergic to?

i've had a cocker spaniel that had bad allergies. i had hypersencibilitated him. this was an allergie test under the skin of about 20 substances where he could be allergic to. when it was clear where he was allergic to there was a medicine that was made specially to what he was allergic to. this was injected into him and at first a couple of times a month and later upto once every 6 months and eventually it stopped. this had spectacular results and he had a beautiful shiny coat. where at first he was bald, had wounds and his ears ripped at the edges. here in the netherlands it was an expensive procedure but deffinately worth it!
