Hi all! I am new in here and hope someone can help me. and i hope i'm in the right place, i tried to start a new thread

I have a 2yr old male Boston I've had since he was a puppy. His name is Beast or Beastie. He was sick w pneumonia when a puppy (almost died)

but I loved him and nursed him back to health. Beast has been perfectly healthy since. The other day I noticed a small raisin sized lump near his tail (about 2.5 inches from tail), pinkish, no fur on it, round, solid, and doesn't seem to bother him one bit. I've read Boston's are prone to melanomas or other skin cancers??? Like I said, he's been acting normally--eating, playing, sleeping just fine. Can someone please tell me what this might be? I'm so scared of cancer!!! I LOVE MY BEAST SO MUCH!!

I've had lots of dogs, never a Boston (had to have one after that cute Zyrtec allergy commercial, lol) and this dog is by far the best I've ever had!! He is my best friend!! Does he need to go to the vet? Please advise!

thanks so much..
