Hi ttann7... the general opinion here is that the less processed the food is, the better. Perhaps you'd like to check out our post under "New puppy! Help!" and "Help with my new baby Sadie" thread?? We find that our dog, Audrey, loves it. I've also heard that if poop eating is a problem (thankfully not at the moment) then grated pumpkin will fix this. All the best

Actually, there is no set recipie for a raw diet. Bostons are carvivores and as such, lack the enzymes necessarty to break down and utilize any benefit from vegetables and grains. The majority of prepared, frozen and even some freeze dired raw diets have way too much veggie material and sometimes grains in them so be careful.

Dr Billinghurst BARF raw food diet is really popular in Australia as an option for raw food diets. The vegetables are already ground down (to mimic what the green matter would be like in a stomach of an animal that our native dogs would eat) so that the dog has the ability to break down the vegetables and absorb the required nutrients.

Plus of course it is already conveniently made for you!

I read a couple of good ones in the DOG BIBLE. Let me know if you'd like for me to type them up for you? I just need to find my copy of the book.
