Hi my names Rachael and my partner Al and I are the very proud owners of a Boston. It was difficult to find one here but we did it in the end and I have to say that the effort was well worth it. My little guy is called Koda and he's 7 months now. Everyday with him is a delight his antics just keep me laughing. I'll post a picture as soon as I figure out how to :?
Hi,
I first saw a BT at Crufts dog show and know that this is to be my next dog, it was definately love at first sight.
I just wish that i had know about the breed , i have never seen one in England before Crufts.
At the moment i have an elderly Boxer and a 3 year old Akita so i am going to have to be content with talking and reading about the wonderful BT for a number of years.
But one day my dream will come true, even if i need a second mortgage to buy one- yes its true BT over here are selling for between one and one and a half thousand pounds each.
I wonder if English dogs are expensive in America.
Anyway i am glad i have found this site with like minded BT lovers.
In answer to one of the questions posted, yes bosties are hard to find here. There are only 3 registered breeders that I know of and I did pay a small fortune for Koda but he is descended from a long line of champions, and he's so cute... but you can expect to pay something in the region of £1,000 - £1,500 which at the current rate of exchange is about $2,000 - $2,500.
Bostons are not a dog that you will see when out walking as they are rare here compared to other dog breeds. When out with him I often get stopped by people who ask what he is.
