Hello everyone, I have joined this group in hopes to get information on the breed as well as characteristic differences between males and females to help with my decision. We are looking to add a Boston to our family, we presently own a Great Dane named Thor he is 3 years young. Thor has ALOT of energy for a Dane and thought a Boston would make a great brother/sister for him. We have been recently researching and found that Bostons generally don't have too many health concerns to worry about when purchased from a reputable breeder.
Happy to be here!

Welcome to the forum. I also had a great dane & BT at the same time. In March 2006, our great dane (Dane) went to the Rainbow Bridge due to cancer. He was such a sweetie. Our BT was just a pup and loved to play with him.

In my experience, the males are more active than the females. But I have heard different from others.

I am so sorry to hear you lost Dane to the C. Not so common in Danes as in other breeds like boxers etc. My Dane really needs a buddy, he gets so excited to play with all the dogs at the park and when we doogie sit for our friends he is never happier. Can't wait to get him a buddy!

Oh that is good to know the males may have a little more energy than the females. I am leaning towards a male but not forsure yet. I know both males and females are full off energy and spunk, perfect for Thor (my Dane)! Thanks for the input pummy.
