I recently purchased an 11 week old boston terrier 2 weeks ago. He is the cutest little guy. I had been searching for bostons since last Feb. I wanted to go through a breeder but my husband wanted to pick one out a pet store. Most of the breeders were not local to us and wanted us to send a deposit and would send pictures. We didn't feel comfortable about that, thinking what we see in a picture may look different when we actually received it. Also, it seemed very impersonal to me.
Baxter is a great little guy - 7 lbs @ 11 weeks old - I think he is going to be on the larger size close to 20 lbs. But really don't know much about this breed except for the books we have been reading.
He has had some medical problems, which I'm told come from coming from a pet shop, Giardia, Kennel Cough and now a bullseye rash that looks like tick bites but that seems to have been ruled out by my vet. He had 4 on Father's day and they went away in 2 days and now 2 more appeared today. We are taking him off the medication for the kennel cough and waiting to see what transpires by Monday. His vitals are good and he is a very healthy active pup with a shiny coat. I hope he is going to be fine. My husband and myself are already very attached to him. Any info would be appreciated.
