Default Thinking about a Boston pup
Old 02-20-2008, 06:41 PM   #1 (permalink)

Hello, my name is Jennifer, I am 26 years old, have 4 cats (2 inside), a 6 year old daughter, and 2 year old son. I am considering a Boston pup, and have e-mailed the breeder referral link on the BTCA website. I want a puppy that will do well with my kids and animals, and will like to play and go on walks and go to obedience school with me. I live in Knoxville, TN, and my hubby and I work opposite schedules so we have plenty of time for a puppy! Looking forward to any advice, suggestions, etc!

There's nothing like a boston. They are on the 10 best list for dogs for children. I was brought up with them and my children were. I'm hoping my children will carry on the tradition. My advise - get one you will not regret it.

i also have a three year old and a 7 year old, having pevee would be harder if my son wasn't potty trained already!! But if you ready for a new baby, more power to you!! I am finding that constant supervision is needed for both the dog and my son because my son is alwats trying to pick up the dog.

Before getting a boston, it is important to reaserch alot before deciding to buy one, as my family did. You need to think about if you have enough time for it, and the expencises involving him/her.
Boston Terriers are highly recommened, and are good with kids. My dog Zorro is great with my 6 year old and my 11 year old. They are fun to play with. Whoever visits my home just adores my 9 month Boston. He sure is adorable. Also, Bostons aren't nippy like most small dogs and are fairly quiet. My pup didn't bark untill he was 8 months. He might make a noise or once or two a week!
All in all, my advice is to GET A BOSTON TERRIER!!!
