Hi there. I'm glad to find this forum. I am a new owner (picking up BT next week) and I'm super excited about it all. My profile pic is that of my new boy in my life, Kirby. He is just over 1 yrs old and comes to be via my cousin.

Can't wait to get him and start my wondeful journey with him!

Unfortunately my cousin has had a change of heart and I know longer will be getting Kirby.

If anyone knows of a adult BT 1-2 years old in need of a loving home please let me know. I now have an empty spot as I was really looking forward to giving Kirby a forever home. Sigh

I'm looking into BT rescue places and local shelters/humane socitiers now.

Default I'm back!

Well after some deep soul searching my cousin has finally decided to give me Kirby.

The reason she initially balked at the idea is that she thought/felt at the time that she was giving up on him. She's had 4 dogs before and never given up on them. But after some more time to think things over and monitor the way her current family life is, she fells that he deserves/needs more one on one attention that I can give him.

She told her boys last night and there were , but I told her to let the eldest know (who bonded with the dog) that I will keep him updated on Kirby's new life and send pictures all the time. With that, he said "ok i feel better now". What a strong little man he is to say that.

So we are moving along quickly so that Kirby can acclimatize to his new surroundings and I pick him up tonight after work. I am taking tomorrow off work as well to help bond with him and get him use to condo, streets, neighbourhood etc.

Although my cousin in sad, she knows that I will love him to bits and give him the individual attention he needs. Plus I'll now have a little buddy for my walks, camping, dog parks, BT meetups and lots more (like signing him up for agility courses!).

So I'm back in the swing of things and will post pics (if I can figure how to do so) once I have him.

Cheers
