We live in Eau Claire, WI. I have seen probably 3 people walking bostons, theirs are all full grown though, otherwise I haven't seen many either here!

Hi we love the spike collars too!! My fiance bought him that one, I believe it is a 14". Which today, we actually Just put it onto the last hole, so it is currently as big as it will get, he is just 5 months old so he does have some more growing to do. I thought for sure when we got it it would be big enough to last him when he was full grown, my bad judgement I guess! Boston's are such great dogs and are so fun to have! Yours is adorable!!

Indie was found with Giardia when I took her for her first vet visit at 8 weeks after I got her from a good breeder. I called the breeder and he gave me advice on how to treat it. I was told it's rather normal for small pups and that it could have been transmitted through her mother. She had soft stools for about a month and a half and it took three rounds of medication to get rid of it. She's perfectly fine and active little clown now. It's a lot of information to learn all at once. I started researching about 6 months before I got her and I still read every day on how to raise her and feed her, etc. She's my first dog out of my childhood and it's been so fun learning and growing with her. She's my best friend. Good luck with Tucker, this forum will provide a wealth of information, and the woof board too.

I understand your concern with the vaccinations i just wanted to give you my opinion on things that i thought might help out the jack. I feel the same about vaccinations and would have acted the same with singleton but i didnt really get that opportunity since we already owned three dogs and singleton was born at our house. So he got introduced earlier than normal.

    .... cont. from last night

Our second oldest boston "ben" used to be aggresive to every one even my fiance but not really towards other dogs. It seems like sice we got a pup two years ago he has become more active and tolerent of everything and even became a daddys boy, he started to fetch and play chase which he didnt even do when he was a pup. So just watch and see anything can happen and you will be amazed at what does

The more you learn the more chances you will have to train your dog. Not everything you read will work for you or your dog. As far as the jack i think it may be old enough to realize it is a baby & not be to agressive towards it, although a little growl or snap may happen to put him in his place, as long as it doesn't go beyond that its good for both of them. Remember to give the jack the same amount of love and attention you have always given it, don't make it jealous Maybe you can take the jack with you on your trips to see your new baby to at least let it get a smell of the new guy,and as your baby gets older maybe let them see each other before you bring him home for good. Then start by slowly introducing them,i bet within time they will make friends.

I'm sure you'll do a great job raising him! Petey was 8 weeks old in my profile picture (I took the photo the day after we got him). He was a tiny little guy at 3.3 lbs. It is hard to predict how big he was going to be from the beginning. When I first saw him I was pretty sure he was going to be a short and stocky Boston but at about 12 weeks he starting growing at an insanely fast rate and leaned out. He currently weighs a whopping 22 lbs and will be 7 months old on the 15th (so as you can probably tell, he's a big boy- especially for his age). He is already towering over my mom's Boston (who is 4) and we expect him to grow more and probably fill out more.
